Q: Where is Design by Louma located? How can we meet?
A: We are a private studio located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We don’t have a retail store but we can schedule an appointment in the office based in Barsha Dubai. You can schedule a consultation during our working hours: Sunday to Thursday, 10am till 6pm for our custom invitation service or schedule a phone conversation if you are not in Dubai.
Q: Do you work with brides outside Dubai?
A: Yes we do, everything can be managed through internet & telephone.
Q: Do you design invitations in any language?
A: We design invitations in any language, as long as you provide us with the final text.
Q: Do you provide Arabic/English calligraphy?
A: Yes we do. We work with several Arabic & English calligraphers based in the UAE for custom logo designs, full invitation text calligraphy, and hand written guest names.
Q: Where is your work produced?
A: All our work is designed and produced in the UAE. If materials or production techniques requested by the client are not available in the UAE, we will source them through our existing network of suppliers and printers in the United States and Europe. We are a team of graphic designers driven by creative ideas and beautiful craftsmanship and take pride in creating products of outstanding quality. We are particularly inspired by clients with out-the-box ideas and a drive to be truly unique.
Q: What production techniques can you provide?
A: We can provide any technique such offset, silk screen, digital printing, hot foiling, embossing/debossing, die cutting, and laser cutting. Furthermore, we can print on a multitude of materials such as any kind of paper/board, acrylic, porcelain, fabric, wood, etc.
Q: Do you have a minimum order requirement?
A: There’s no minimum order requirement, however the price of invitations is built up of design fees, fixed production costs and variable production costs. Hence, the final price of your invitations will depend foremost on the intricacy of the design and the production techniques that will be used, and secondly on the final quantity of the invitations. The starting price for 100 custom wedding invitations is AED 6500, for 200 custom wedding invitations is AED 7500 but smaller orders will be pricier due to the cost of setting up the printer for your order. Our recommendation: always make extras just in case! Orders usually start from 100 or 300, but can exceed well over 1000 invitations.
A: Do you ship overseas?
Q: We deliver free of charge anywhere in Dubai, and can arrange shipping all around the world at preferential DHL Express rates. If you wish, you can also use your own preferred courier or freight forwarder.
Q: When should I order my invitations?
A: We advise you to place custom orders at least 3 months in advance. If you need hand-written guest name calligraphy, please add another 2 weeks for the delivery.
Q: When should I mail invitations to my guests?
A: Your guests should receive their invitations approximately 2 months before the wedding. Consider sending out a Save-the-Date 5 months prior to the wedding, your guests will have then enough time to make ticket & hotel bookings.
Q: What are your payment terms and methods?
A: We take payments by cash (AED, USD or EUR), bank transfers, Western Union wiring or UAE-issued (personal) cheques. Please note that our fees are exclusive of any bank transfer fees. We usually require a 60% upfront payment before designing commences, and payment of the balance at delivery stage.
